As a small business owner, nothing means more to me when someone refers others to me, and while my couples' kind words warm my heart each and every day, when a colleague or co-worker refers someone to me, because they can vouch for the work I do, it is wholeheartedly appreciated. I'm a part of this not-so-little movement called the Rising Tide Society (you can read more about that here) but one of their founding principles is that a rising tide floats all boats, and that the more we value community over competition, the more likely we are to succeed as creative entrepreneurs.
