PRINT METHODS
All Studio and Heirloom collection suites can be offered in all three print methods, however some elements may require combined digital + letterpress or foil stamping to achieve the overall look.
Digital Press
An economical print method that can be easily combined with a wide variety of papers and other print methods. This print method is ideal for multi-coloured graphics (such as watercolour) and photographs because it applies all four colours of the press in a single pass.
Letterpress
A print method dating back to the mid 15th century that utilizes a printing press and polymer printing plates to create a relief (indented) print on the page. This print method is best on thicker or handmade papers and can be combined with other print methods.
Foil Stamping
A print method dating back to the late 19th century that utilizes a printing press and metal (usually copper) die which is heated and pressed against foil to create a relief (indented) print on the page. This print method is best on thicker or handmade papers and can be combined with other print methods.
Other printing methods and printing materials are available such as digital printing on acrylic, laser engraving on wood, copper or stone, and much more!
